Your role
As a BloomReach Hippo CMS Specialist, your role will involve implementing and customizing the CMS platform. You will collaborate with clients and teams, extend CMS functionality, integrate third-party systems, optimize performance, and troubleshoot issues. Your expertise in Java development will be essential in building and maintaining web applications. Effective communication and collaboration, along with a willingness to work with US timezones, are crucial. Your role contributes to successful CMS projects, client satisfaction, and technical leadership.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the subject matter expert for BloomReach Hippo CMS, providing guidance and support to the development team and clients.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design solutions, and implement complex features using the Hippo CMS platform.
- Customize and extend the CMS functionality to meet specific project requirements.
- Integrate third-party systems, plugins, and APIs with the Hippo CMS.
- Perform system configuration, including content modeling, document types, and workflows.
- Conduct performance optimization and troubleshooting to ensure the stability and scalability of the CMS.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and new features of BloomReach Hippo CMS.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and support to junior developers.
- Work closely with clients to understand their business needs and translate them into effective CMS solutions.
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients in a clear and professional manner.
- Collaborate with team members in different time zones to ensure seamless project delivery.
What you need
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience working with BloomReach Hippo CMS, including customization, development, and implementation.
- Strong knowledge of Java development and web technologies.
- Proficiency in Java frameworks such as Spring or Apache Wicket.
- Experience with front-end web technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive design.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs, web services, and integration of third-party systems.
- Solid understanding of CMS concepts, content modelling, and workflows.
- Experience with version control systems like Git.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to work with overlapping time zones with the US.
