Your role
As a SAP Basis Consultant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our team and ensuring the smooth functioning of SAP systems. With your strong technical expertise in SAP Basis, you will be responsible for system administration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of SAP landscapes. Your primary focus will be on providing technical support, monitoring system performance, and implementing enhancements to optimize system efficiency and stability.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support and expertise in SAP Basis administration, installation, and configuration.
- Perform system monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal system performance and availability.
- Implement SAP system upgrades, patches, and enhancements to keep the systems up-to-date and secure.
- Manage system landscapes, including system copies, system refreshes, and client copies.
- Collaborate with functional teams and external vendors to resolve technical issues and implement solutions.
- Monitor and maintain system security, user management, and authorization profiles.
- Conduct system backups, disaster recovery planning, and testing to ensure data integrity and business continuity.
- Collaborate with infrastructure teams to optimize server and network configurations for SAP systems.
- Provide guidance and support to junior team members, ensuring their professional development.
- Stay updated with the latest SAP Basis trends, tools, and best practices.
What you need
- Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 12-14 years of experience as a SAP Basis Consultant, with a strong technical profile.
- Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in SAP Basis administration, installation, and configuration.
- Proficiency in SAP system monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
- Experience in SAP system upgrades, patches, and enhancements.
- Strong understanding of SAP landscapes, system copies, and client administration.
- Familiarity with SAP security concepts, user management, and authorization profiles.
- Good understanding of infrastructure components and their impact on SAP systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve system issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- SAP Basis certification is preferred
