Your role
As a consultant, you will be responsible for helping our clients maximize the potential of SAP IM-WM modules and architecting effective solutions. With your extensive experience, you will play a pivotal role in configuring, designing, testing, and providing technical support for SAP SCM (Supply Chain Management) with a focus on Inventory Management (IM) and Warehouse Management (WM). Your expertise will enable our clients to optimize their inventory and warehouse processes, streamline operations, and achieve greater efficiency and accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to understand their business requirements and translate them into SAP IM-WM solutions.
- Configure SAP IM-WM modules, including defining storage locations, storage types, movement types, and stock types.
- Design and implement effective IM-WM strategies, including inventory optimization, stock placement, and warehouse layout.
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans to ensure proper functionality and system integration.
- Provide technical expertise in debugging and troubleshooting IM-WM-related issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate SAP IM-WM with other SAP modules, such as MM (Materials Management) and SD (Sales and Distribution).
- Analyze business processes and provide recommendations for process improvements and system optimizations.
- Conduct training sessions and create user documentation to enable smooth user adoption and system utilization.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in SAP SCM, IM, and WM modules.
- Act as a subject matter expert and provide guidance to junior team members.
What you need
- Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 12-14 years of experience as a SAP IM-WM Consultant, with a focus on SAP SCM.
- Strong technical background and hands-on experience in configuring, designing, and implementing SAP IM-WM modules.
- Proficiency in debugging and troubleshooting IM-WM-related issues.
- In-depth knowledge of inventory management, warehouse management, and logistics processes.
- Experience in integrating SAP IM-WM with other SAP modules, such as MM and SD.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve system issues and process inefficiencies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with clients and team members.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- SAP SCM or SAP IM-WM certifications are preferred.
